Circle of Champions
2001 - Kenny Moorer - Kenny played basketball for the Falcons from 1976-1978 and his team was runner-up in the 1978 FCCAA State Championship. He was the assistant coach from 1981-1987, including when our Falcons won the 1983 FCCAA State Championship. Kenny was head coach from 1987-1989 and returned to coach from 1994-2001. In 1999 the team was runner-up in the NSCAA National Championship. Kenny also filled the role of Athletic Director from 1994-2006 during which he saw national championships brought home in baseball and volleyball.
2002 - Roscoe B. Knight - Roscoe's support of Florida College Athletics spans over 30 years in various roles. He was Intramural Director and Cross Country Coach for a time, during which he led the team to two NLCAA Cross Country National Championships. Most notably, though, he donned a red blazer and will be forever remembered as the "Voice of the Falcons" for 25 years.
2002 - Donald E. Owens - Donald played basketball for the Falcons from 1971-1973 and concluded his basketball playing years at East Caroline University from 1973-1975. He returned and filled the role of Head Basketball Coach from 1979-1986, with an overall record of 176-74. He averaged 22 wins each year over eight seasons. During this time he helped bring home the FCCAA State Championship title in 1982-1983 with a 30-5 record.
2004 - Paul Andrews - Paul was the first student to enroll at Florida College in 1946. Thus began over 40 years of active support for Florida College Athletics. He volunteered in many different capacities including as a physical education instructor, sports information director, basketball scorekeeper and timekeeper. Paul influenced and worked with numerous athletes throughout the years.
2006 - Kerry Keenan - Kerry served Florida College Athletics in many ways. He was Assistant Baseball Coach 1983-1984, Physical Education instructor 1982, 1987-1993, and 1996-2004, and as Intramural Director 1987-1993 and 1996. However, most notably he served as Head Baseball Coach in 1982 and from 1997-2004 and brought home the USCAA National Championship in 2002 and 2004. He had an overall record of 204-115, with a .639 career winning percentage.
2008 - Donna (Prater) Parimore - Donna joined the Falcon family in 1998 to help start the first women's sport in Florida College history. Donna coached the Lady Falcon's Volleyball team from 1998-2018 in which she brought home an outstanding 12 USCAA national championships and numerous other recognitions. Donna was 465-199 as head volleyball coach at Florida College.
2009 - Henry "Enrique" Oliu - Henry was a Florida College student from 1981-1984. He served as the Public Address Announcer for the Falcon Basketball team from 1981-1987. He also supported athletes by serving as a tutor for the basketball and baseball teams. Henry went on to become the Spanish radio broadcaster for the Tampa Bay Rays starting in 1998.
2018 - Dan & Kathy Petty - Dan & Kathy joined the Florida College family in 1989 and from that time on they were Falcon Super Fans. For 30 years the coaches have all known they can look in the stands and find the Pettys there, cheering them on, no matter the sport. While the Pettys would love to see their team win, their status of Super Fan is not just because they want to cheer their team to victory; they're Super Fans of the Florida College student body.
2018 - Adam Thompson - Adam played basketball from 2002-2004 and 2005-2007. He was Florida College's first ever four-year basketball player, team captain for three years, two-time USCAA 1st All-American, and for over a decade held the position of Florida College's all-time leading scorer with 1922 points over 105 games, with 18.3 points per game average.
