Lady Falcons Lose Heartbreaker at Warner

LAKE WALES, Fla. - The Warner University Royals took Florida College to five sets on Monday and defeated the Falcons 19-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-17, and 15-13.

Florida College came into the match with confidence after defeating Warner in their first meeting a few weeks ago. The Lady Falcons took the first two sets of the match with close scores and lost their lead in the third and fourth sets, losing 25-20 and 25-17. The fifth set was crucial to win for both teams and Florida College lost their 8-4 lead to give the Royals their second win of the season.

Senior Adriana Bravo matched her career-high 20 kills and Carolina Ramalheira improved on her previous career high of 16 kills by securing 19 against the Royals. CAC Setter of the Week Madison Lee pitched in 36 assists to lead the match for both teams, and Leah Brown added four blocks to the Falcons' 12. Both teams had very similar statistics when comparing digs and blocks, but the Royals were more well-rounded and were able to close out the match with a win.

The Lady Falcons' next match is at St. Thomas University on September 19 at 5pm.
