TALLADEGA, Ala. - The Florida College women's soccer team tied in a hard fought match with CAC foe Talladega College 3-3.
The Tornadoes had two back-to-back goals within the first 15 minutes of the match on Thursday, with the first coming in the 4th minute by Jenally Barco and the second in the 14th minute by Annalisa Vincent. Lady Falcon Angie Sciacca scored an unassisted goal in the 33rd minute to secure her first goal of the season. The Lady Falcons came out of halftime ready to strike and tied up the match with two goals from Shannen Cheney, one of them assisted by Claribel Hernandez. Both teams struggled to get the ball into the net the remainder of the match and finished out 3-3.
Florida College took a total of 30 shots in the 90 minute match, six more than Talladega, with 20 of their shots on goal. Falcon goalkeepers Jillian Francis and Gabriella Peralta both posted five saves apiece, with Peralta shutting out the Tornadoes in the second half.
