Roberts Helps Secure Win Over RV Florida National

HIALEAH, Fla. - The Florida College Falcons took down Continental Athletic Conference foe Florida National University 3-2.

The first half of the match was filled with action between scoring and yellow cards. Conquistador Luis Martinez put Florida National on the scoreboard first in the 19th minute with an assist from Christian Omar Herna. Falcon John Solis answered back less than two minutes later to even the match 1-1. Less than a minute later, Conquistador Ricardo Delwing took the ball and ran with it to help Florida National take the lead once again. The first half was scrappy between the teams and the Falcons were given three yellow cards to the Conquistadors' two.

Florida National's scoring streak stayed in the first half as the ball never found its way to the back of the net. Florida College's Jokubas Samsonas and George Roberts helped the Falcons to victory with a pair of goals to secure the program's first win against a team receiving votes in school history. Goalkeeper Filip Borka posted seven saves against the Conquistadors and later earned CAC Defensive Player of the Week after the pair of wins at the CAC Classic.
