Men's Soccer vs. Trinity College

The Florida College men's soccer team defeated Trinity College 8-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 26, in their first regular season match since early September. This was only the Falcons' second regular season match after having several games cancelled or rescheduled due to Hurricane Irma. Despite the long wait to return to regular season action, the Falcons were on the board early with a goal from junior Kristopher Ospina in the 7' minute. The Tigers of Trinity College would fight valiantly to keep the Falcons from scoring again until the 20' minute when freshman Lenny Vazquez was able to double the lead. The Falcons would add two more before the half and another four goals in the second half.

The Falcons had six different goal scorers from the eight goals and outshot the Tigers 23-1 in the match. Junior Austin Hamby and freshman Juan Buitrago kept the clean sheet in net for the Falcons as they now move to 2-0 on their season. The Falcons have a busy week as they return to action on Thursday, Sept. 28, to take on Bahamas University. Come out to Qualls Field Thursday at 6 p.m. to support your Falcons as they attempt to move to 3-0 on the season.
