Bio

Robert Rayle enters his fourth year as an assistant coach for the Florida College Falcons. His duties include overseeing student managers, on-the-floor coaching, helping coordinate gameday management, coordination of travel, managing social media content, etc.

During Rayle's first year in Tampa, FC improved their win percentage from .433 the year prior, to .538. The Falcons ranked 5th in the country in assists per game (minimum 12 games played) and 3rd in three-pointers made per game.

During his second year on the sidelines at FC, the Falcons had a record-breaking season. They finished the year 31-4. They were Continental Athletic Conference Champions. FC won a game in the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in Florida College history. They were 12-0 in CAC play and 14-0 at home in Conn Gymnasium.

During his third year, the Falcons finished the season 27-6. They reached the Round of 32 in the NAIA National Tournament for the second straight year. The 2-seeded Falcons defeated the 15-seed Life University in the first round of the National Tournament. The Falcons received a host bid in the National Tournament due to their outstanding regular season resume. FC was ranked in the Top 25 polls the entire season, finishing #14 and reaching as high as #10 during the year.

Rayle started at Carson-Newman University as a student manager for the men’s basketball team for four years. After completing his undergraduate degree in Sport Management in 2019, Rayle was hired by Carson-Newman Head Coach Chuck Benson to be the graduate assistant. Rayle helped in many of the daily and game-day operations at Carson-Newman. Rayle graduated with his Master's degree in business administration from Carson-Newman.

In the 2017-2018 season while at Carson-Newman, the Eagles finished 23-8 (14-6 in SAC) while Rayle was a student manager. It was the 7th straight winning season for CN. They were ranked in the top 25 and received their second-ever at-large bid for the NCAA DII National Tournament. While at CN, Rayle was a part of the staff that coached FC Head Coach Chase Teichmann's brother, Grant, who now plays professionally in Germany.

Rayle is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee. He and his wife, Cat reside in Tampa.
