Bio

Sarah Singler enters her seventh season with Florida College athletics, but her fifth as an employee on staff.

Originally from Escondido, Calif., Singler started out her career at Florida College as the women’s basketball team manager and statistician her junior year. During her senior year, Singler was named the Director of Basketball Operations. She was given the responsibility of coordinating travel for the men's and women's basketball teams and continued on as the team manager and statistician. Singler graduated from Florida College in May of 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a focus on Biblical Studies, Communication, and Behavioral Science.

After graduating, Singler accepted a position as the Athletic Administrative Assistant and Director of Game Day Operations. She took on more responsibility with the athletic teams and worked closely with volleyball and basketball on travel coordination and game day planning. Singler was in charge of coordinating game day staff, taking stats, and the set up and break down between these sports. She also worked all home soccer games and collected stats for both the men's and women's teams. Athletic events this year were slim due to COVID-19, and Singler assisted in testing and communicating with visiting teams on Florida College's COVID-19 protocol. Fall sports outside of men's and women's cross country were rescheduled for the spring, resulting in an extended competition schedule and extra year of eligibility for student-athletes.

In June 2021, Singler was named the Sports Information Director. She assisted coaches in running their individual athletic accounts while coordinating travel for all the athletic teams at Florida College. In August, she decided to go back to school and pursue her Master's Degree in Sport Management at Louisiana State University. Florida College made the transition from the SSAC to the CAC and had three teams make the conference tournament, with Men's Cross Country and Men's Basketball bringing home a trophy. The 21-20 volleyball team lost to CAC foe Florida National University in the championship game in four sets while in Nevada, Mo. They earned an automatic bid to the First Round of the NAIA Volleyball National Tournament, but lost to the #5 University of Providence in Montana. The Men's Cross Country team won the title at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas, with the women placing third. Jay Cook, Jessie Roth, and Shelby Hilt represented Florida College and traveled to Washington to compete in the National Championship race. The Men's Basketball team also had a historic season under head coach Chase Teichmann, going 31-4 and reaching the round of 32 at the National Tournament, losing to who would be the 2022 NAIA National Champions, Loyola University New Orleans. They were undefeated in conference and at home.

In her most recent year at Florida College, Singler created new social media accounts for the cross country, golf, and track teams and also continued to grow the Florida College Athletics TikTok account that she created the previous year. The athletic social media presence grew quickly across multiple platforms with the help of many interns from Florida College's mass media department. Singler has taken on the responsibility of working with these interns and creating content that is featured on TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, as well as the new video screen in Conn Gymnasium. As the Director of Game Day Operations, Singler worked with the CAC on hosting two back-to-back CAC Championships, where both the Men's Cross Country team and Volleyball team took home CAC Championship titles. The Legends defeated Haskell Indian Nations University by a slim seven points to capture their second conference championship and compete at the NAIA Championship in Tallahassee, Fla. The Lady Falcons improved their previous overall record 28-10 and were 12-1 in conference. They were able to celebrate their championship win in Conn Gymnasium surrounded by the best fans in the NAIA, the Red Sea. Singler served as the Host SID and Tournament Director for both championships and was instrumental in the planning process for both events. She also assisted athletic administration at nearby Southeastern University in hosting the First and Second Rounds of the NAIA Basketball Tournament, where the Men's Basketball team were defeated in the round of 32. They were a Top 25 team all year long, ranked as high as #10 in the nation.

Singler also worked on the website transition from SIDHelp to PrestoSports, and has collected a decade's worth of archived information for each sport that will go into the record books at a later date. She recently completed her Master's Degree at Louisiana State University.

She currently resides in Temple Terrace.
